Slow week

So we set a new record for most members online in a single day today. Greetings to the hundreds that have joined us in the last few weeks.

Spent the afternoon hitting the malls for after Christmas sales. Sooo many people. I think there were more people shopping after Christmas than before it.

Steve Jobs, dead today age 56. Not surprising with his health as it was, but what a shock to the industry this is going to be.

Tags are now required when submitting a new thread. This is done in advance of our system updates, which will use the tags system to greater effect for finding similar threads.

Thinking about removing the sidebar from everywhere but the main page. Does anyone use those recent topics links from viewing a thread?

Trying something new out with the ads. Dropped the sidebar on topics for a single ad in the post. Going to let it run for a week and see how it goes.

Ugh upgrade turned on importing of status updates. What a mess...again. Should be fixed from here on though.

Ugh, wonderful day for a network outage. Was out of my control unfortunately. Our hosts entire network was just down for about 20 minutes. Here I thought going with a huge host would be beneficial.

Updated board Terms of Service. No change to policy, just missed some references to the new site name.
