  1. At least I still recognize some of the people involved. Though I did much better with the roster in the WWE Legends game that came out a few years back. I was a big fan when I was a kid, but that was 20+ years ago now.
  2. Is that a game you will be looking forward to? I see Criterion is still handling the NFS franchise, which is probably good. I still remember playing some of the Burnout games, and they were pretty amazing.
  3. Those numbers next to the skin do represent how many people are using the particular skin. It doesn't account for anyone who just has their skin set as default, as their skin would be changed based on whatever is set as the boards default. So in this case, everyone not listed is seeing Simple Blue.
  4. Thanks for the extensive input. I hadn't really thought of the design as an older looking type, but I can see how a couple of elements could give that impression. One of the biggest things with this skin was looking for something that was different. We have the Simple Blue skin, and Classic is already a brighter sort of red theme. Mostly though, they're based on the same layout and structure as the default skin supplied by the forums software designers. At this point, I am trying to get a few different options for the "feel" of the board, as different people like different things. I do currently have another planned, with a feel that closely replicates the small condensed layout of a Xenforo board. I'm still having a few issues with that though in the posts template due to the large avatars we have here, but I will get it eventually. As for a poll, that is another good idea but I think I will wait a couple more months until the fall when things pick back up again. We will probably get more feedback that way.
  5. Bit of a delay thanks to ending up busy with other work last week, but the new skin is up and available to all visitors of the site. You can check it out by selecting the "Prime" theme under the Change Theme link at the bottom of the board. New default skin contender, or still in love with the Simple Blue?
  6. Football Manager back on sale @ 75% off today if you missed the last sale.

      Steam only btw.

  7. I agree, perhaps when there are more members posting regularly we can consider a members-only lounge.
  8. There has always been a reason for that. If the site gets flagged for adult content, the site will become inaccessible through schools, businesses and anywhere else that uses content filtering software. If a thread was set up in a forum only accessible to registered members and not open to guests, that would be perfectly fine.
  9. Football Manager 2012 75‰ off on Steam for the next 10 hours.

  10. I will take a look into it. Way too many events are showing. Should have the red skin up this coming week.
  11. I admit that I usually wait for most console games to come down in price. I still rarely pirate games even for PC. With discounts and Steam sales, the price isn't worth begrudging developers of a bit of money. I'm actually the opposite where online gaming is concerned. I usually don't play games online. For me, that is one reason I don't find the value of games enough to pay the release price. I mostly play a single player campaign, possibly more than once, but once I am done with that I'm done with the title. Only with a couple of titles per year, be it Halo or Battlefield or whatever do I usually spend any time playing online. OST: http://www.demonoid.me/files/details/2779996/4680246/
  12. Honestly, I don't think it will have any greater effect than it already has. What was done in the PS2/PS3 generations is likely as bad as it will get for PC gaming. With the surge of Facebook free-to-play games, and mobile games for phones and tablets, I actually anticipate a slight decline in console sales for the next generation. I used to do more PC gaming then I do now, but only in a single subset of gaming. That was RTS games, which are terribly unsuited to play with a console controller. We used to make quite the day of getting everyone together for a LAN party and rocking Age of Empires, Warcraft, or Empire Earth.
  13. I have to say, I've gotten used to playing on my phone or tablet when I'm on the go. I used to like carrying a separate handheld though.
  14. Right now I only have a Champions League calendar being imported. I will see what I can find. Finding good importable calendars in the iCalendar format is pretty hit or miss. People seem slow to update this stuff. Most of what was available so far is still 2011/2012 stuff. Maybe a bit too soon for 2012/2013 to start appearing, since most people create these by hand.
  15. I actually enjoy shorter games most of the time. Between a job, SoccerShouts, and keeping up with a few current tv shows and movies I don't exactly have hundreds of free hours per month to spend on gaming. The last time I had a game that registered above 50 hours it took me about 3 months to finish it.
  16. Someone actually said Borderlands sucked? I know all about underpowered gaming. I have a couple year old laptop as my primary machine. This is why I own consoles. I might not get all the crazy high powered graphics that comes with frequently upgrading a gaming rig, but at least I know if the box says Xbox or PS3 I can at least play it.
  17. Calendar feeds have been added. The main calendar will notify of birthdays and upcoming games. A news calendar has been added with current and upcoming related events. An Olympics calendar has been added for those interested in keeping track of the upcoming events.
  18. AC3 definitely has potential, but that has to get in line behind that handful of shooters I mentioned. Fortunately most shooters don't take me too long unless I get addicted to an online multiplayer component. I do agree The Last of Us looks pretty amazing, but I do believe that is a 2013 title. That means I still have plenty of stuff this year, but hopefully not too much. I'm thinking that may also be one of the last great games for this console generation. I really don't look forward to the expense of new console purchases next year.
  19. Depends on your familiarity with torrents. http://www.demonoid.me/files/details/2961470/780041/ Current up to last month.
  20. I really don't keep old gen systems for too long. Although I do still have my original xbox, anything prior to that I'm now rid of. Nes/snes were sold. Ps1, gamecube, n64 were all given away to friends. I only have my Ps3 and Xbox360 currently hooked up to a tv.
  21. This year at least I'm looking forward to seeing how Halo 4 is handled. Borderlands 2 is a definite must buy. Black Ops 2 I'm keeping an eye on, but I haven't played a CoD game since MW2.
  22. What is it you don't like about Spec Ops? I downloaded the demo and it was on my list for this week. Just wondering what I am getting into.
  23. I got the full bundle. I already had a couple of the games on my Xbox and PS3 from previous promotions, but I think the devs deserve the support. Plus, Psychonauts. Totally not indie, but a great retail release from the last console generation. I can't find my Xbox disk, so this was great. In trying to keep the topic slightly Max Payne related, is reached Metacritic scores of 86/87 for Xbox/PS3 respectively. My question is really how much back story from the prior two games is helpful when playing this one. As someone who didn't play the previous titles, I don't know how much that would hinder the experience of this one.
  24. I may still have a box of games on floppy disks. Most fit onto a single 1.38MB (formatted) capacity disk. But then, my first computer came with 8 floppy disks that made up the installation of Windows 3.11. Enough about that from me now though. I need to find my cane and yell at some youngsters to get off my lawn. Still OT, but I've noticed even the indie games vary greatly. The ones on my Steam account from the last Humble bundle range from a couple hundred MB to around 1800MB for Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
  25. That's a pretty significant amount of space. Whatever happened to the good old games that came on floppy disks?
