Let's review what I have seen this year so far. My emotions got drained a bit of course, but I still have the impressiom to share. The Revenant Wouldn't lie, first scenes gave me creeps and rather gross feelings. Lots of violence, murder, animal murder which is never nice for me. The whole movie kept that theme alive, pretty much. Without giving any spoilers, it was dark and depressing, with some revelation at the end. However the scenery, shots and work of the camera.. Amazing work as you feel so present and can almost smell what's happening. And finally Leo got his so long awaited Oscar. Well done man! 9 out 10 Way too much violence. Zootopia Fantastic and charming animation, enjoyed it so much! The beginning was slow and a bit boring but the rest was just very well done. Simple yet smart, lots of hidden sense and context. Good mature story to tell or see. 10 out 10 10 Cloverfield Lane I was going to this movie just without any expectation whatsoever. Got with my friend as he loves stuff like this, and frankly I noticed there was Bradley Cooper thus it should be at least a decent. Pro tip: Do NOT watch, read or see any trailers about that and just go and watch it for yourself. Any spoilers will ruin the story and ending effect. I enjoyed it so very much till the very freaking end! Gave me some good thoughts to observe. 10 out 10 (if you don't spoil it) I have also seen the new incarnation of Jungle Book from Disney and it was just boring, stale and kinda childish. No ratings, just don't watch it and better read the actual book
