  1. Two points in response to this topic:

    1) I just noticed that I can bring back a more familiar red background and I do not have to download an extension for Firefox in order to do it. This is a good thing.

    2) Unfortunately I cannot access the smiley icons. It is my position that they disappeared because I use Firefox 2. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  2. The World Football Challenge. It destroys the integrity of the preseason and attaches artificial meaning to games which should have no meaning. Part of being a football fan is enjoying exhibition games every year. It doesn't matter whether you win or lose; it's how you play the game. The beauty of a preseason game lies with the fact that you will always get something out of it regardless of the outcome. I wish Don Garber would realize that.

  3. The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. I was sprinting like a maniac (from Canal Street) to get to the D.M.V. Office (right down the street from Ground Zero in lower Manhattan) before it closed at 4:00 yesterday. I almost didn't make it and I really do not see how people who work/go to school during normal hours can be expected to do business with the D.M.V.

  4. When one of your friends (whom you know in the real world) sees fit to have his or her nose pierced. Don't get me wrong; I have nothing against those who I am friends with. If I am friends with you, and you have your nose pierced, and you really like it, and you think it looks good, then that's good, and I'm happy for you, but I still think it looks disgusting. In fact I'm completely baffled by the fact that there are guys out there who think that nose piercing looks attractive, because in my opinion, nose piercing is anything but attractive. If anything, it grosses me out. It is really no different from having your bellybutton pierced or your eyebrow pierced if I'm being honest with myself.

  5. Panera bread's silly little policy of only selling breakfast sandwiches during breakfast hours. The problem is that breakfast sandwiches are the only sandwiches that I wish to buy from them (from my perspective breakfast sandwiches are almost the only sandwiches they sell). I am perfectly willing to pay for them during any hour of the day, so they are really only hurting themselves financially.

This policy is the reason why I never go to Panera Bread at all. What a way to turn off a paying customer; you outright tell him to his face that you do not want his business (except during certain hours of the day). Their line of reasoning is just beyond me.

  6. I hate electrical outages. I had to travel all the way out to a public library just to use the internet. If I had enough money to buy a backup generator, then the generator would be worth every penny.

Nothing like being hit with the worst snowstorm that you could ever dream of. So many people are without electricity in the tri-state area that this is basically a natural disaster.

This is why I have not been able to listen to any games in the English Premier League today.
