As you may be well aware, I like that type of music, more peaceful and relaxed. I also have huge passion for violin so I can listen to this girl playing all day long
Yeah, I've seen you post similarly light music before. My problem is that relaxed invariably leads to asleep. I still listen to the majority of my music while I'm driving, so that would be a very bad time to be taking a nap.

That is so beautiful..At least I'm not trying to get any work done. This would be the kind of stuff to zone out on and/or fall asleep listening to.
I need something a bit more upbeat while staying awake.

That could work. Used games aren't usually worth enough for the trouble though unless they are very recent releases.

So wait until you get some money from Christmas and buy both.

Tough month. Hoping Xbox has some Christmas sale start soon. Got notified by Microsoft that I have like $12.50 in bonus credit that is expiring on the 23rd. But no good sales means nothing I really want to spend it on yet. Would love to see the Telltale Game of Thrones or Borderlands games go on sale soon.

Added a new category to the videos section for FIFA & Sim type videos. Seen a couple of new videos that covered this sort of thing, and they really didn't fit into any existing categories.
New forum software is running on a test site here and I'm still hoping to make progress with an update by the end of the year. Until a few vital plug-ins are updated, we don't have much choice but to wait it out.

By now, at least a few people may have been presented with a notice regarding their use of an ad blocker here on the site. I hope you can all understand, but I'm just trying to keep the site alive. Over the past couple of years, our daily traffic has continued to increase, but ad revenue is actually heading in the other direction. Several weeks ago, I ran some monitoring software from a company called PageFair, and was only slightly surprised to see that as many as 40% of our visitors are blocking ads.
Please, disable your ad blockers for this site. The only ads come from Adsense. We don't like agressive, noisy ads that move around the page with you. So you won't find them here.
If you still hate ads, consider purchasing a subscription. I'd like to think the cost isn't too high, and you do get some extras. This way you are still supporting us but never see ads.
Lastly, there's NoScript. With this you will stop the ad blocker notice from appearing. This is a forum that uses a lot of scripts though, so without some configuration you may find functions on the board doesn't seem to work right. I'm sure some of our tech-savvy users are already running NoScript. If you really don't want to support this site, this will really help you out, but it will make me sad.

Well, if you do decide to give Win10 a shot, let me know what you think. Also, while some of the spy theories are a bit excessive, the new system does do quite a bit of tracking. I'd take a look at this article about what privacy settings you might want to change right away.

I have some question about Windows X. I have heard a rumours that new system just spy on you constantly and MS have access to pretty much everything you type, which means all your passwords, private messages, credit and bank cards will be like an open book. I also heard it does record you every 15 seconds (if you have your webcam) and send reports back to Microsoft.
Are these rumours true?
Yes and no. Specifically, I wouldn't try typing my password or credit card number into the Cortana search box. Since those searches ping off Microsoft servers, that would likely be equivalent to Googling that same info. But it's not like it's going to be recording what you type as responses to forum posts in the web browser.
Recording you and taking camera snaps? Nah, no way. That would break so many laws in so many countries Microsoft would be fined out of existence.

@@frstplce,Now it's just a matter of time when you will feel the need to get your new console. Can't blame them though.
I don't blame them either. In fact, the only way for the new gen stuff to really move forward is to stop trying to make things that can also be ported to last gen. I look at it this way: when I do eventually get a new system, there will be a nice sized library of stuff for me to pick from. And the earlier games will probably be pretty cheap too.

It has full controller support. That would be my solution at this point. It was clear when they only released the XB1 and PS4 versions that the last gen stuff wouldn't be a priority. We're hitting that point when the last gen stuff will start being abandoned. I don't see much new stuff on the horizon either.

Toño, how do you not fall asleep listing to that? I like ambient music, but anything like that and I'd better be planning on taking a nap.
Newest Butcher Babies. Actually listening to the whole album on Spotify right now, but this is the only video for it.

I haven't renewed my Xbox Live in a while now. I think Battlefield 4 was the last I was playing online. At this point, the 360 audience has to be shrinking, so I probably won't do any online gaming again until I get a newer console. Still, I have many single player games to keep my busy until that time comes. Once the weather starts to cool down a bit, my time for gaming usually increases quite a bit. Plus, with hardly any more new games coming to the old systems, I really have no excuse to buy new games and can start going through that backlog finally.
-
On a more gaming related note, I noticed a Gears of War 4 on Amazon as well as the new Deus Ex. They don't seem to have any solid release dates so far, which is probably a good thing for me. A few more top tier titles like that and I may have no choice but to start putting aside from money for a new console.

I went into Windows update and hide the Windows 10 download. I still have to hunt down the update that created that annoying icon and remove it. That should stop it pestering me.

In addendum to my previous post: http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2015/08/05/windows-10-charging/
On the upside, I have seen that Win10 is allowing a 30 day period to roll back to your old install. For me, I'm keeping it to the virtual machine until next year and I will see how it's going then.

I'm pretty sure it won't force the update. But I have all my updates set to download automatically but install manually. Really annoying though. Every time I turn on my computer or wake it from sleep I get a pop up notification about Win10 now.

Win10 is a lot better than 8 for sure. I only briefly had access to 8 on my own, but fixed a few computers for people with it. The start menu is interesting, having returned to a fairly normal start menu, but with the extra section of tiles on the right. I can live with that at least. The core system seems to work okay, but then just about everything is being passed in an emulated state to virtual system, so I can't really say how things like drivers would work.
One things to watch out for is privacy settings. There is a lot being said right now about how the default install basically spies on everything you do. It's easy to turn off, but definitely something to be aware of. I'm also still not sure that I trust Microsoft's new auto update, which no longer lets you install updates when you want. It's all forced on you now, at least until someone finds a way to stop that. Just one more reason I'm waiting to update.
-
Yeah, I am in no rush to install it. I think I already can do that and kinda curious but at the same time I am rather feel lazy now. Do not touch my computer mych ni terms of any activities, apart from youtube, emails and internet in general.
Have you tried that Fallout game yet?
I had actually kind of forgot about that Fallout game. Although I did just recently see that sometime this month it will be coming to Android, so that should make a lot of people happy.
As for Windows 10, I do have a copy of it running inside a virtual machine. I love VMware and use it for testing a lot of stuff. I have a full Mac OS distribution I can run, and also a Linux distro that is easy to set up to play old DOS games. Much easier to set up than a dual-boot configuration.

Google
I know that actually sounds like the simple and obvious answer, but it's actually good to hear. For the first year or two, a lot of our traffic came from shared links and word out mouth, and not so much from search engines. It seems we are being listed more now, so it definitely helps more people find us.

Ah the winter sale. Some of the best deals at a time when I have no money left after Christmas shopping.
