  1. If anyone is having trouble posting, try clearing your cached data by holding down the Shift key while clicking the page reload button on your browser. This will eliminate any old bits that may be causing you trouble.

  2. Okay some updates from lars that requires some fixing whenever you are free in the videos section.

    1. The Video Forum rules are gone. That can be fixed by me but I dont remember whether we had a subforum wide announcement for that or pinned topic?

    2. The line separating the topics has disappeared , is this due the skin? Can it be fixed?

    3. I see that you have introduced the like button but does it add to our stats anywhere.

PS - Sorry have been away through out the day so havent been able to check and post about the new features

Edit : I suggest people not to change their skins right now , I did that and had some issues with the look and was not able to change back for 5-10 mins because of the buttons.

I checked and the rules do appear, announcements are more separated now and appear at the very top directly below the forum name/description.

As for the separator line between threads, check my attached image. There is a line for me. Let me know if you are seeing anything differently.

The Likes may be adding to stats, but I have disabled any overall counters from appearing. I do think the like system is nice and will work especially well as a "thanks" type system, but I have no interest in seeing the point races return.

  3. I don't know about chat invites. I think if people wanted to chat they would do so freely. One thing from the days of SP when we had the chat room was to keep a topic pinned in the Lounge where you could point out that you were waiting in chat if anyone wanted to join you.

If you happen to get a global mod (Support Team) group member present, they will also have the ability to create a forum-wide announcement.

  4. Great. Thanks for the confirmation. I'm hoping more people opt to use the mobile version as SS grows as it removes the limitation of being at home or work in front of a computer to continue a discussion.

I should be switching from Blackberry to Android at the end of the month so at least I can do proper testing of the Android app and mobile theme in general.

  5. What kind of error are you getting? I know some people have been accessing the site via iOS devices, but I don't know if they are using the app or not. I will have to see if I can borrow a iPhone/iPod from a friend to test. I only have Blackberry so I can't confirm.

  6. If you just go to SS while on your iPhone you will see a mobile skin. You can access forums and post without an app. If you want an even nicer view of the boards and more functions, there are a couple of iPhone apps listed on the page Luke linked that will do an even better job.

  7. Just wanted to remind everyone that SoccerShouts is ready to go on the go with you. Check out our page of Mobile Apps for Android and iPhone, and you can keep up with posting while on the go.

If you don't have Android or iPhone, you can still view the board on the go. No app needed, just access the forum from a mobile browser and you will see our fast loading mobile view.

  8. Event was decent, but you have to watch it knowing the last episode may be the end of the series. There is still discussion about it being picked up by another network, but I haven't seen anything promising.

  9. At least part of that new service is supposed to be free. But I do think Activation is looking for any and every opportunity to charge for anything they think they can get away with. I'm okay with paying for map packs too, but in this case I wasn't getting enough time put into the game. If they were $10 like just about any other games map packs, I probably would have grabbed them and kept the game a while longer.

But when you start getting charged for weapons or perks or anything that puts you at a significant disadvantage if you don't pay up, then I start to lose interest quickly. If they are really struggling that badly, raise the price of a game from $60 to $65 and stop breaking the games by taking so much out of them.

As for sports games, I have last years NHL, but that's about it. Sports games don't really interest me for very long.

  10. I'm more of a Battlefield fan myself. I did play the first two Modern Warfare titles, but never bothered with World at War or Black Ops. Love the first one, but didn't spend as much time with the second. It was a good game, but I was tied up in other things at the time. Around the time they decided to start putting out $15 map packs, I dumped the game on eBay.

As for the third installment, I will probably hold off for a while because if I remember correctly its release closely coincides with the release of Battlefield 3. I can't really discuss changes/wishes for MW3 as I have no idea what was done in Black Ops. At the same time, I am interested in seeing what the dual development teams can accomplish with a largely different team at Infinity Ward.

  11. now here i come :) - for me the best of best - Spartacus: Blood and Sand

history's greatest gladiator unfold with graphic violence and explicit sex. :)

    IMDB Rating - 8.8/10

I watched the first episode and wasn't as impressed as I thought I would have been from the previews. I've pushed in back in my list of things to watch. Please tell me it gets better?

I just wrapped up the first seasons of Camelot and Game of Thrones, both pretty decent but Game of Thrones in a must watch for fantasy lovers. Now that those seasons have ended I will keep up with season 4 of True Blood, and I've dug into my backlog and have been watching Jericho on Netflix, then it is on to Doctor Who season 5 (modern series).

  12. There will be some issues today as our host has moved to a new datacenter. If you are noticing outages with the forum or pages not loading correctly this is due to the move and subsequent changes to the sites IP address. Hopefully this will all be cleared up shortly.

  13. I have last.fm on my Xbox, but I rarely ever use it. For Internet radio I generally use Slacker, but that's also because I can use it on my Blackberry. Last.fm doesn't have a Blackberry app.

  14. I am mostly legit now. I will get it via rental with Netflix and if it ends up being really good I will buy it. I only bother with rips for tv series that aren't available to stream from Netflix and some harder to find anime titles.

  15. I don't have a good feeling about the movies this summer. I went through my list of movies to watch, and almost all already hit the theatre and will be moving the dvd soon. Only the last Harry Potter film is on my radar for a theatre visit for the next few months.
