  1. I really find that playing with a 'stronger' team much harder. With Wigan I was borderline top 4 but I switch to Fulham (who in my opinion is much stronger and the game seems to think so as well) and I'm struggling to make the top half after 4 games.

  2. Yeah, I also found it really hard to begin with but I'm guessing that I'm getting used to it as I've now had 5-1 victories over Sunderland and a 2-0 against Chelsea, so I'll probably up my difficulty to add to the realism.

  3. I'm definitely finding my game with Wigan much more enjoyable than with Arsenal. With Wigan I have more of a chance to completely build my own squad and develop the team but when I play with Arsenal, the whole team is basically built for me and I felt bad whenever I'd sell a player.

I'm currently 8th placed with Wigan (and considering that the league objective was to not be relegated, I'm very happy). Brought in Mark Noble from West Ham for something around £10 mil, Aaron Ramsey on loan, Stefano Okaka (who's an absolute beast) for £5 mil and a random defender from Inter on loan as well. Undefeated at home so far although I've had so pretty big losses away from home like a 4-0 away loss to City. Coming up to January and I'm still in the League Cup! So all is going well.

I'm only playing on professional though, so I may switch up to World Class in the near future.

  4. Got bored of the Arsenal manager mode and created a new game with Wigan. Won't post any stats yet (let's see how far I go with this one first  ) but I enjoy playing with a club like Wigan. Less pressure to succeed and any wins a big win. :)

  5. Just got Fifa 12 last night and have been playing career mode every waking hour since. Currently halfway through my first season with Arsenal and my team looks like this:

    Van Persie (86)

    Robinho (84)

    Kaka (85) ----- Gourcuff (82) ---- Wilshere (83) ---- Ramsey (77)

    Gibbs (76) ---- Vermaelen (84) ---- Mertesacker (82) ---- Sagna (83)

    Fabianski (78)

Also got Thierry Henry for 8 mil ($) and have other players like Walcott and Arteta on the bench. Sold off all the players I thought were rubbish like Gervinho, Chamakh, Djourou and Almunia and also got offered 24 million from Newcastle for Alex Song which I accepted. Spent all the money I got from transfers plus the $40 mil i started with to buy the likes of Kaka, Robinho and Gourcuff.

Currently sitting 6th in the league and Van Persie has easily scored over 80% of my goals. Robinho and Kaka have both been fairly average and kinda regret buying them.

  6. LMFU to the last part, but yeah I think that the precision Dribbling is a real pain cause it doesn't matter how you tackle they dribble through you like you don't exist, that is the most annoying bit for me, so if you play manager mode, then just sign messi or play with Luckcelona

hahaha, I haven't had much time yet to play against the computer (it's mostly been with friends thus far) but I've heard it's incredibly hard to defend against any half decent team. Against human opposition though, I haven't found it to be much of a problem though.

  7. My friends think that the song (tiptoe through the tulips - tiny tim) in this part of the movie is just hilarious. In all honestly, the film clips that have been made for the actual song are probably scarier than it's use in Insidious (Tiny Tim's no charmer).

  8. Should be a tough game against Marseille tomorrow although I'd still expect us to gain all 3 points.

Marseille's form still isn't the greatest in the league and they have no hope of making to the knockout stages (unless the win all of their last few games), so their confidence will be on a low while ours (Arsenal's) will be pretty high after both the 2-1 win against Sunderland on Sunday and Thomas Vermaelen signing a contract extension (which Wenger has said has made Arsenal a 'happy' club again).

    Szczesny

    Jenkinson Mertesacker Koscielny Santos

    Song Arteta

    Ramsey

    Walcott --- Gervinho

    Van Persie

  9. I'd consider myself a pretty decent FIFA 11 player and I would've thought that the conversion to 12 would be pretty bumpy to begin with but I won all the games I played and felt that offensively, besides the ability to dribble pass players with more ease and slightly harder passing, it's the same game. Defensively on the over hand, it's a whole new story.

I've been so used to just holding down x (or a for those of us who have to suffer through the use of an X-Box) and then just gaining the possession with ease but this new defensive system is really good. I like the fact that it's actually much harder to now retain possession and actually makes me enjoy playing the game the more than I did 11. It's now actually exciting to defend (last ditch tackles are next to goal in terms of excitement for me)!

Found it quite funny that Arsenal's still considered a good team in the game. Still a solid 5 stars.

  10. Will Smith.

I think that he's highly underrated by some people because he plays in a lot of big blockbuster movies but he's honestly one of the best actors of all time. He's really universal in the roles he can play (from Hancock to Persuit of Happyness for example) and is just an all round talented person. His acting can actually bring me to tears.

  11. Really high quality game. What the Champions League is all about!

I really like the look of both teams. Napoli's offensive threat with players like Hamsik (who really impressed me, my personal man of the match) and Lavezzi was really entertaining to watch and the tempo of their play was genuinely impressive. But although I felt Napoli were good, City were unlucky not to win the game. I'm not too sure exactly on how many of their chances hit the post, but it seemed like a lot and they'll be quite displeased that non of them managed to get in (Kolarov's goal was also a beauty) but the same could be said with Napoli with the chance that Kompany cleared off the line.

But overall, it was the best game I've seen of the Champions League so far.
