Welcome to the SoccerShouts.com message boards. We rely on you, the visitor, to help keep this board enjoyable for all. Please report all violations of the rules below to SoccerShouts.com staff via the post reporting system available in all threads. Moderators do not read every post, so please do not expect intervention unless you personally report the problem. Thanks for your cooperation.

BY POSTING HERE, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING GENERAL BOARD RULES:

1. You will not start a new topic (aka hit the "new topic" button) if the topic already exists. Always search for an existing topic to reply to, and only start a new one if you are sure the topic has not been discussed recently. (Search engine link is on the top right corner of every board page)

2. You will post your topic on the correct board. With many new messages posted every day, it is necessary to have several boards dedicated to the more popular conversation topics. Please think about which board your topic belongs in before posting your message.

3. You will be tolerant and respectful of your fellow visitors. Criticism of ideas and opinions is welcome, but you may not attack other members in any way. You will find every opinion imaginable here, so you may want to find another board if you are not able to keep your cool when someones viewpoint offends you.

4. Your message must add something of substance to the discussion. Do not post silly or incoherent messages (or one-liners) just because you are bored, or for any other reason. You are of course welcome to do so in the Lounge.

5. You will give credit for contents that are not yours. Stealing articles or videos made by another person and then claiming they are yours, is not acceptable.

Updated rule #7 to remove non-compete exception.

Non-compete exception: Discussion or links in signatures may not point to another site that would directly compete with SoccerShouts primary business. Specifically, other soccer (football) community links are not permitted by these rules.

 

Update January 15, 2015: This exception is being removed from the rules. This is old, outdated thinking as the rules developed years ago. I see no reason why we can't acknowledge there is a bigger Internet out there. There are sites that right now fall under this rule that I see no reason to disallow and others that just do some stuff better than we do.

 

The spam rules still apply though, so blatent attempts to promote other sites, whether for footy or Viagra, will continue to be removed. General discussion that mentions other sites, and links to such sites in the course of discussion, will no longer be removed by SoccerShouts staff.
